Où planter l'anémone ? Installez-les plutôt à mi-ombre ou au soleil non brûlant. Les anémones de Caen (Anemone coronaria) se plaisent en plein soleil, à situation chaude. Les anémones printanières (blanda, coronaria, sylvestris) apprécient un sol humifère, léger, frais, mais bien drainé.

A la plantation, installez vos anémones du Japon dans une terre enrichie en compost bien mûr. L'anémone n'aime pas vraiment le calcaire. Plantez-la dans un sol neutre ou acide, léger de préférence et riche en humus. Si votre sol est lourd ou argileux, vous pouvez apporter du terreau pour l'alléger.

C'est une très belle plante de fin d'été. Bon à savoir : comme toutes les plantes vivaces à tendance drageonnante, l'anémone va végéter la première année. C'est donc mieux de la planter à l'automne, lorsqu'elle est en fleur ; vous pourrez ainsi profitez de sa floraison.
