Dans la mythologie grecque, épouse de Priam, mère de nombreux enfants, dont Hector, Cassandre et Pâris. Lors de la prise de Troie, Hécube fut faite prisonnière et échut à Ulysse. Selon Euripide (dans Hécube), son fils cadet, Polydoros, avait été confié par Priam à la tutelle de Polymestor, roi de Thrace.
