C'est dans la commune française de Droux, au nord de Limoges, qu'a débuté la construction d'un centre technique et d'une piste d'essai pour l'hyperloop, ce 'train à grande vitesse' circulant dans un tube sous vide. La piste d'essai de 3 mètres devrait être prête d'ici un an.
Comment fonctionne le Hyperloop ?
Fonctionnement de l'Hyperloop Techniquement, il s'agit de faire circuler sur un coussin d'air des capsules de moins de trois mètres de diamètre dans des tubes sous basse pression. La propulsion est assurée par des électroaimants en forme de solénoïde.
